Aerospace & Defense Valve Solutions

Cryogenic, LOX, liquid hydrogen, and methane service — engineered to the standards of the most demanding mission-critical programs.

The Industry

Where Failure Isn't an Option

Aerospace and defense applications operate at the absolute edge of what valve technology can do — cryogenic temperatures down to -423°F for liquid hydrogen, oxygen-clean service for LOX systems, ultra-high pressures for hypergolic propellants, and the unforgiving quality requirements of mission-critical hardware.

Miller Valve & Controls earned the highest possible quality score from a leading aerospace launch provider — recognition that our cryogenic and severe-service valve solutions meet the standards demanded by space launch, defense systems, and aerospace propellant handling. We work directly with rocket programs, launch facilities, propellant depots, and defense primes.

When the application is liquid oxygen, liquid hydrogen, methane, or any of the cryogenic and high-purity media that aerospace demands, we partner with manufacturers who specialize in the materials science, cleanliness standards, and precision engineering required.

Common Applications

Where Our Valves Earn Their Keep

From propellant transfer to engine test stands, our valves are engineered for the demands of aerospace and defense.

Liquid Oxygen (LOX)

Oxygen-clean cryogenic ball valves engineered for -297°F and rigorous oxygen compatibility cleaning. Built for launch facility ground support equipment.

Liquid Hydrogen (LH₂)

Ultra-low-temperature valves rated to -423°F. Stainless and specialty alloy bodies, extended bonnets, and fugitive emissions sealing for the smallest molecule.

Liquid Methane / LNG

Cryogenic ball, gate, and globe valves for propellant-grade methane and LNG systems. Tested to MSS-SP-134 and beyond.

Hypergolic Propellants

Specialized valves for hydrazine, MMH, NTO, and other reactive propellants. Materials of construction validated for compatibility.

High-Pressure Gas

GN₂, GHe, and GO₂ pressurization systems. Forged-body valves rated to 6,000+ psi for tank pressurization and propellant transfer.

Test Stand Service

Severe-service control valves for static fire test stands, engine test cells, and propellant qualification. Repeatable performance through thermal cycling.

Ground Support Equipment

Propellant loading skids, GSE control panels, and umbilical systems. Reliable shutoff and control for launch operations.

Defense Systems

Specialty valves for hydraulic, fuel, and pneumatic systems aboard military platforms. Compliance with MIL-spec and program-specific requirements.

Vendor Partners

Trusted Manufacturers for Aerospace

Our aerospace and defense valve solutions draw from a curated set of manufacturer partnerships — chosen for their cryogenic specialization, materials expertise, and program-grade quality systems.
