ANSI/ASME B36.10 & B36.19

Pipe Schedule & Wall Thickness

Quick reference for ANSI/ASME pipe schedules, wall thicknesses, and inside diameters. Useful for confirming line size and bore on quote requests. Covers NPS 1/2" through 24".

Lookup

Pick the pipe family, nominal size, and schedule. We'll return OD, wall, and ID.

Note: OD is fixed by NPS; schedule changes the wall thickness (and therefore the ID). Stainless schedules (5S, 10S, 40S, 80S) typically run thinner than their carbon-steel namesakes at NPS 12 and below.

Reference values only. Confirm against ANSI/ASME B36.10M-2018 or B36.19M-2018 before specifying. Mill-rolled and seamless pipe carry allowable tolerances on wall thickness; for hydrostatic or pressure-rating work, use the minimum wall after mill tolerance.

Need a Line-Size Sanity Check?

Send us your line conditions and we'll cross-check bore, schedule, and valve port size in one pass — so the valve actually fits the pipe.
